"Nice place, but the signs threw us off"
Maybe it’s just me, but I found the wayfinding here confusing. The place itself was nice and we still enjoyed parts of the visit, but some of the signs were really small or easy to miss, and we ended up unsure where to go a few times. The map didn’t really make things any clearer either. For a spot with driving routes and different stops, I expected the signage to be a lot easier to follow. It was a little frustrating, especially for the price.

The food was actually really tasty, and the gift shop had some cute stuff to look at. I’ll be honest, I don’t have a ton of patience for places where I have to wander around forever, so I appreciated that it was easy to enjoy the meal, check out the shop, and be on my way

"Helpful info before a rainy day trip"
We checked Fossil Rim before heading out because the weather was looking kind of iffy... it was really helpful. The hours, drive details, and what to expect were all easy to find. It made things a lot less stressful when we were packing ponchos and snacks for the kids. The weather did shift a little, but we felt prepared and still ended up having a great day.

"Easy tickets, no hassle at all"
I bought our Fossil Rim tickets online i was halfway expecting something to go wrong and to need an apology from customer service, but it was super smooth. The dates and times were easy to understand, checkout was quick, and the tickets hit my email right away. No hassle at all

"Quick, easy check-in"
We got there a little early and I figured check-in might take a while, but it was super quick. I’m the type who likes it when things are simple and I don’t have to overthink the next step, and the staff made that easy. They had everything moving, told us exactly where to go, and we were on our way in just a few minutes. Really nice way to start the visit.

"Stayed here for one night and…"
Stayed here for one night and it was okay overall. The room was clean enough and the view was really nice, so it’s not like there was anything major to complain about. But it’s not even about that — for the price, the place just felt a little dated and not as comfortable as I was expecting. The staff were friendly, which I appreciated, but I probably hoped for a bit more from the stay.

"Cool animals, but the place felt a bit dumpy"
Went to Fossil Rim with my family, the animals were awesome. That part was really fun. But the facilities were kind of a mess and brought the whole trip down. The bathrooms were nasty when we went, smelled terrible, and the trash was overflowing like nobody was keeping up with it. A few areas around the place looked neglected too. For what they charge, I expected it to be a lot cleaner and more comfortable. Maybe we caught them on a bad or busy day, but still, it was disappointing

"Fossil Rim was such a nice place to…"
Fossil Rim was such a nice place to spend the day. I thought it would mostly be about seeing animals up close, which was already great, but then we ended up learning a lot too. They explain conservation in a way that actually makes sense, even for kids, and you can tell the staff really care about what they’re doing. I kept catching myself thinking about how much work must go into helping endangered species, and then, of course, getting distracted by the animals again. We definitely left knowing more than when we arrived. I’d go back for sure.

"Pretty views and a relaxing drive"
I really enjoyed the peaceful drive through this area. There are lots of wide open views, plenty of trees, and the hills looked especially beautiful later in the day. A few stretches felt a little slow at times, but it was still a nice, relaxing visit overall.

We took the kids last weekend everyone had such a great time. What’s better than an easy drive-through where the animals come right up close? It felt safe for the little ones too, which made the whole experience way more relaxed for us

"Take Your Time and Trust the Drive"
I spent about three hours there i’m glad I trusted my gut and didn’t rush it. It was a nice, slow drive, and the whole experience felt really relaxed and worth the time.

As someone who usually stresses about finding parking, I was relieved. We showed up on a busy day and still found a spot really quickly. The lot was easy to locate, and it made the whole start of the visit feel way less chaotic

We had a really good time at Fossil Rim!!! The safety rules were super clear and easy to follow, like staying in the car and not trying to touch the animals!!! The staff did a good job reminding people too, and they weren’t rude about it at all!!! My only small complaint is that a few of the signs could be bigger in certain spots, but overall it was a fun and smooth visit!!!

"Nice enough visit, but access and check-ins were annoying"
Fossil Rim was doable overall since so much of it is from your car, which made a big difference with my mobility issues. The staff I talked to were friendly, and the drive-through part was the easiest and most enjoyable bit.
The frustrating part was some of the stops and bathrooms. A few areas felt uneven or harder to navigate than I expected, and I wish the accessibility info had been clearer before we got there. Also, having to go through repeated verification/checking felt a little annoying after a while. It wasn’t a bad visit, but it could definitely be smoother

"Such a fun animal experience!"
The animals came right up to us, which was so fun! It felt really up-close and exciting... definitely a cool experience.
